¹Let me sing for my beloved
  my love-song concerning his vineyard:
 My beloved had a vineyard
  on a very fertile hill.
²He dug it and cleared it of stones,
  and planted it with choice vines;
 he built a watchtower in the midst of it,
  and hewed out a wine vat in it;
 he expected it to yield grapes,
  but it yielded wild grapes.

³And now, inhabitants of Jerusalem
  and people of Judah,
 judge between me
  and my vineyard.
⁴What more was there to do for my vineyard
  that I have not done in it?
 When I expected it to yield grapes,
  why did it yield wild grapes?

⁵And now I will tell you
  what I will do to my vineyard.
 I will remove its hedge,
  and it shall be devoured;
 I will break down its wall,
  and it shall be trampled down.
⁶I will make it a waste;
  it shall not be pruned or hoed,
  and it shall be overgrown with briers and thorns;
 I will also command the clouds
  that they rain no rain upon it.

⁷For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts
  is the house of Israel,
 and the people of Judah
  are his pleasant planting;
 he expected justice,
  but saw bloodshed;
 righteousness,
  but heard a cry!

Cantaré en nombre de mi amigo querido
    una canción dedicada a su viña.
Mi amigo querido tenía una viña
    en una ladera fértil.
² La cavó, la limpió de piedras
    y la plantó con las mejores cepas.
Edificó una torre en medio de ella
    y además preparó un lagar.
Él esperaba que diera buenas uvas,
    pero acabó dando uvas agrias.
³ Y ahora, hombres de Judá,
    habitantes de Jerusalén,
    juzguen entre mi viña y yo.
⁴ ¿Qué más se podría hacer por mi viña
    que yo no lo haya hecho?
Yo esperaba que diera buenas uvas;
    ¿por qué dio uvas agrias?
⁵ Voy a decirles
    lo que haré con mi viña:
Le quitaré su cerco, y será destruida;
    derribaré su muro, y será pisoteada.
⁶ La dejaré desolada,
    y no será podada ni cultivada;
    le crecerán espinos y cardos.
Mandaré que las nubes
    no lluevan sobre ella.
⁷ La viña del Señor Todopoderoso es el pueblo de Israel;
los hombres de Judá son su huerto preferido.
Él esperaba justicia,
    pero encontró ríos de sangre;
esperaba rectitud,
    pero encontró gritos de angustia.

 ⁷Restore us, O God of hosts;
  let your face shine upon us, and we shall be saved.
 ⁸You have brought a vine out of Egypt;
  you cast out the nations and planted it.
 ⁹You cleared the ground for it;
  it took root and filled the land.
 ¹⁰The mountains were covered by its shadow
  and the towering cedar trees by its boughs. 
 ¹¹You stretched out its tendrils to the sea
  and its branches to the river.
 ¹²Why have you broken down its wall,
  so that all who pass by pluck off its grapes?
 ¹³The wild boar of the forest has ravaged it,
  and the beasts of the field have grazed upon it.
 ¹⁴Turn now, O God of hosts,
  look down from heaven;
 ¹⁵behold and tend this vine;
  preserve what your right hand has planted.

⁷ Restáuranos, oh Dios Todopoderoso;
    haz resplandecer tu rostro sobre nosotros,
    y sálvanos.

⁸ De Egipto trajiste una vid;
    expulsaste a los pueblos paganos, y la plantaste.
⁹ Le limpiaste el terreno,
    y ella echó raíces y llenó la tierra.
¹⁰ Su sombra se extendía hasta las montañas,
    su follaje cubría los más altos cedros.
¹¹ Sus ramas se extendieron hasta el Mediterráneo
    y sus renuevos hasta el Éufrates.

¹² ¿Por qué has derribado sus muros?
    ¡Todos los que pasan le arrancan uvas!
¹³ Los jabalíes del bosque la destruyen,
    los animales salvajes la devoran.
¹⁴ ¡Vuélvete a nosotros, oh Dios Todopoderoso!
    ¡Asómate a vernos desde el cielo
    y brinda tus cuidados a esta vid!
¹⁵ ¡Es la raíz que plantaste con tu diestra!
    ¡Es el vástago que has criado para ti!

 ^4bIf anyone else has reason to be confident in the flesh, I have more: ⁵circumcised on the eighth day, a member of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew born of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee; ⁶as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law, blameless.
  ⁷Yet whatever gains I had, these I have come to regard as loss because of Christ. ⁸More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and I regard them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ ⁹and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but one that comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God based on faith. ¹⁰I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death, ¹¹if somehow I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
  ¹²Not that I have already obtained this or have already reached the goal; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. ¹³Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, ¹⁴I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.

 ⁴ Si cualquier otro cree tener motivos para confiar en esfuerzos humanos, yo más: ⁵ circuncidado al octavo día, del pueblo de Israel, de la tribu de Benjamín, hebreo de pura cepa; en cuanto a la interpretación de la ley, fariseo; ⁶ en cuanto al celo, perseguidor de la iglesia; en cuanto a la justicia que la ley exige, intachable.

⁷ Sin embargo, todo aquello que para mí era ganancia, ahora lo considero pérdida por causa de Cristo. ⁸ Es más, todo lo considero pérdida por razón del incomparable valor de conocer a Cristo Jesús, mi Señor. Por él lo he perdido todo, y lo tengo por estiércol, a fin de ganar a Cristo ⁹ y encontrarme unido a él. No quiero mi propia justicia que procede de la ley, sino la que se obtiene mediante la fe en Cristo, la justicia que procede de Dios, basada en la fe. ¹⁰ Lo he perdido todo a fin de conocer a Cristo, experimentar el poder que se manifestó en su resurrección, participar en sus sufrimientos y llegar a ser semejante a él en su muerte. ¹¹ Así espero alcanzar la resurrección de entre los muertos.

¹² No es que ya lo haya conseguido todo, o que ya sea perfecto. Sin embargo, sigo adelante esperando alcanzar aquello para lo cual Cristo Jesús me alcanzó a mí. ¹³ Hermanos, no pienso que yo mismo lo haya logrado ya. Más bien, una cosa hago: olvidando lo que queda atrás y esforzándome por alcanzar lo que está delante, ¹⁴ sigo avanzando hacia la meta para ganar el premio que Dios ofrece mediante su llamamiento celestial en Cristo Jesús.

 ³³“Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, put a fence around it, dug a wine press in it, and built a watchtower. Then he leased it to tenants and went to another country. ³⁴When the harvest time had come, he sent his slaves to the tenants to collect his produce. ³⁵But the tenants seized his slaves and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. ³⁶Again he sent other slaves, more than the first; and they treated them in the same way. ³⁷Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ ³⁸But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and get his inheritance.’ ³⁹So they seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. ⁴⁰Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?” ⁴¹They said to him, “He will put those wretches to a miserable death, and lease the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the produce at the harvest time.”
  ⁴²Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures:
 ‘The stone that the builders rejected
  has become the cornerstone;
 this was the Lord’s doing,
  and it is amazing in our eyes’?
⁴³Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that produces the fruits of the kingdom. ⁴⁴The one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and it will crush anyone on whom it falls.”
  ⁴⁵When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them. ⁴⁶They wanted to arrest him, but they feared the crowds, because they regarded him as a prophet.

³³ »Escuchen otra parábola: Había un propietario que plantó un viñedo. Lo cercó, cavó un lagar y construyó una torre de vigilancia. Luego arrendó el viñedo a unos labradores y se fue de viaje. ³⁴ Cuando se acercó el tiempo de la cosecha, mandó sus siervos a los labradores para recibir de estos lo que le correspondía. ³⁵ Los labradores agarraron a esos siervos; golpearon a uno, mataron a otro y apedrearon a un tercero. ³⁶ Después les mandó otros siervos, en mayor número que la primera vez, y también los maltrataron.

³⁷ »Por último, les mandó a su propio hijo, pensando: “¡A mi hijo sí lo respetarán!” ³⁸ Pero, cuando los labradores vieron al hijo, se dijeron unos a otros: “Este es el heredero. Matémoslo, para quedarnos con su herencia”. ³⁹ Así que le echaron mano, lo arrojaron fuera del viñedo y lo mataron.

⁴⁰ »Ahora bien, cuando vuelva el dueño, ¿qué hará con esos labradores?»

⁴¹ —Hará que esos malvados tengan un fin miserable —respondieron—, y arrendará el viñedo a otros labradores que le den lo que le corresponde cuando llegue el tiempo de la cosecha.

⁴² Les dijo Jesús:

—¿No han leído nunca en las Escrituras:

»“La piedra que desecharon los constructores
    ha llegado a ser la piedra angular;
esto es obra del Señor,
    y nos deja maravillados”?

⁴³ »Por eso les digo que el reino de Dios se les quitará a ustedes y se le entregará a un pueblo que produzca los frutos del reino. ⁴⁴ El que caiga sobre esta piedra quedará despedazado y, si ella cae sobre alguien, lo hará polvo».

⁴⁵ Cuando los jefes de los sacerdotes y los fariseos oyeron las parábolas de Jesús, se dieron cuenta de que hablaba de ellos. ⁴⁶ Buscaban la manera de arrestarlo, pero temían a la gente porque esta lo consideraba un profeta.
