St. John’s/San Juan Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (www.elca.org).  There are more than 10,000 ELCA congregations across the country with close to 5 million members.  Lutheran churches are so named for the reformer Martin Luther (1483-1546) who translated the Bible into the language of his people (German) and helped to free the church from its medieval understandings and constraints.

St. John’s/San Juan Lutheran Church gathers to share and celebrate the good news of salvation and new life in Jesus Christ.  Luther pointed to faith in Christ as our hope of salvation; we follow in that same path and invite all seekers to join with us in the journey of faith.

St. John’s/San Juan Lutheran Church is one congregation worshipping in two languages,  English and Spanish.  We believe that with unity and diversity can co-exist.  This is reflected in our worship schedule that offers English worship (10:00 a.m.) and Spanish worship (11:30 a.m.) on Sunday mornings; bilingual worship is celebrated on Pentecost and Reformation Sundays, our church anniversary Sunday (last Sunday in January), Ash Wednesday evening, Thursday and Friday of Holy Week, and Thanksgiving Eve.  Our youth groups for middle and high schoolers gather together and form their own groups inclusive of English and Spanish worshippers.  Our church council is led by both English and Spanish worshippers working together in Christ’s name.

La Iglesia Luterana St. John’s/San Juan es una parte de la Iglesia Luterana Evangelica en America (www.elca.org/espanol).  Hay mas de 10,000 congregaciones de la ILEA en Estados Unidos con casi 5 millones de miembros en total.  La iglesia lleva el nombre del gran reformador Martin Lutero (1483-1546) quien tradujo la Biblia a la lengua de su gente (aleman) y libero a la iglesia de sus entendimientos antiguos y practicas enganosas.

La Iglesia Luterana St. John’s/San Juan se reune para celebrar y compartir las buenas nuevas de vida nueva y salvacion de Jesucristo.  Lutero levanto la “fe en Cristo” como nuestra esperanza de la camino y invitamos a los demas caminar con nosotros en la jornada de la fe.

La Iglesia St. John’s/San Juan es una congregacion de dos idiomas, el ingles y el espanol.  Creemos que la unidad y la diversidad pueden existir juntas.  El horario de adoracion ofrece de Ingles (10:00 a.m.) y de Espanol (11:30 a.m.) cada domingo: adoramos en forma bilingue los domingos de Pentecostes, Reformacion y el aniversario de la iglesia (el ultimo domingo de Enero), miercoles de Ceniza, el jueves y el viernes de Semana Santa y el miercoles de Accion de Gracias.  Los grupos juveniles y el concilio de la iglesia son buenos ejemplos de grupos que consisten de hermanos y hermanas de los idiomas.  Trabajamos juntos bien en el nombre del Senor!
